Wind Energy Transmission Texas (WETT), LLC is proposing to construct a new 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between WETT’s existing Bernoulli Switching Station and London Leigh Solar, LLC’s proposed Proteus Solar and Storage Collector Station. WETT’s Bernoulli Switching Station is located approximately 4.8 miles south of Garden City, Texas, approximately .2 miles north-northeast of the intersection of Ranch to Market Road 33 and County Road 140, in Glasscock County. The Proteus Solar and Storage Collector Station is located approximately 3.18 miles west of the intersection of County Road 307 and State Highway 158, also in Glasscock County.

WETT is committed to routing the proposed transmission line in a manner consistent with the values of local communities, the Texas Utilities Code, and the Public Utility Commission of Texas’s rules and policies. In support of this Project, WETT is holding a public participation meeting to solicit input regarding preliminary routing alternatives for the Project.
KP Environmental, Inc. (KPE), a consulting firm retained by WETT for the Project, has identified preliminary alternative transmission route links which are shown as dashed lines on the map included below. Maps with greater detail will be exhibited at the public participation meeting. Individuals attending this Open House-style “come-and-go” meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide comments to representatives and technical experts from WETT and KPE. These preliminary alternative transmission line route links are subject to modification based on information received at the public participation meetings as well as further studies.
