WETT is committed to supporting the cities, towns, and communities where we live, work and have energy assets. We’re also motivated to contribute toward raising up the next generation of engineers who will build a sustainable future for Texas, particularly in underserved communities. Additionally, we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact as we continue to build and grow our operating system
We know that a financial gift can make a significant impact in the lives of individuals and enable organizations to continue to do good in their communities. Over the past few years we’ve given half of a million dollars to school districts, volunteer fire departments and organizations meeting needs in the13 counties where we operate in West Texas. We’ve supported organizations working to provide food, mental healthcare, mentoring, crisis support and eldercare for those in need across West Texas, as well as in the Austin area.
Second, we’re committed to raising up the next generation of engineers who will continue to innovate and build energy infrastructure for a sustainable future. We’ve given scholarship funds to several schools of engineering, as well as STEM programs focused on students in underserved communities.
WETT is also committed to supporting those causes and organizations that our employees are passionate about, so we also offer an employee contribution matching plan for both gifts and volunteer hours served.
WETT is dedicated to promoting sustainability and minimizing our environmental impact through robust environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) efforts. In addition, we are proud to extend our commitment to environmental sustainability beyond our internal operations, even when outsourcing work to EPC firms. Together with our EPC partners, we are dedicated to enhancing recycling initiatives, reducing waste, and promoting responsible resource management in all facets of our transmission projects.
